I figured he meant his overall, but I'm thinking how high they can be stacked is going to depend on the material.

1/2" 8' sheets may weigh 77lbs, but 5/8" 12" sheets weigh around 125. I've slung up my share of those in buildings back in younger days.

You own your truck and signed a contract where you decide what goes on the truck. Accept a load that requires full 8 ft drops and don't tarp it and while it won't be a bus ticket waiting for you, the results will be the same.

After hanging 12 foot sheets all day, 5 days a week. Breaking out those tarps really isn't a big deal huh? Whenever i hear someone complain about tarping i can't help but wonder if they've ever done a honest days work in their life.

I don't like tarping 8 foot loads myself.

Not so much for the height, but the rocking of the trailer. And, the majority of the time. The wind is blowing.

The tarps i have now, are 4 peices. My two 4 foot drops can also be used as 8 foot drops. P I T A trying to roll them things sideways of the load instead lengthwise.

As for the economy crashing. I don't think it'll be much longer with todays cheap rates. Truck producers are laying off. Who knows how many guys are looking for work with them 2500 plus fraccing operations that have shut down. And how many trucks we have to share the love with now because they no longer have any pipe to be hauled.

I bet ND is a ghost state now. Haven't seen anyone posting on here about wanting to make money in the oilfields for awhile now.

Nobody likes to do it, but that whole it's hard work thing is a joke.

Btw, if you let the air or of your suspension, truck and trailer. That rocking is a lot less.

If you would believe it, I read in a reliable source that manufacturing in the US by tonnage of goods produced, we are as high a level as WWII. That our population is double, the article didn't mention.
