The DVIR is required by SNI but the DVIR does absolutely nothing for the next driver or the trailer. So what is the purpose of the DVIR?

It is an utter waste of time and resources. As oppossed to an udder waste of time like trying to get chocolate milk and normal milk from the same cow.
The original idea was the dvir would replace the macro but "Surprise, Surprise, Surpise!" M5 and OTM don't play nice together. Why we still have to fill out a form DOT/FMCSA no longer require is beyond me.PoleCrusher, TennMan and Home_on_wheels Thank this. -
Home. For once a chep load has worked to my advantage somewhat. Got 6 hours detention while I was sitting at home. Now I'm going back home. Downside only 158 paid miles. But it gets me home tomorrow for a long weekend . So here's hoping I don't get tagged with a P&G to Walmart load to back that up.
