Depends which way the truck is leaning and how bad. I get headaches if my head is below my feet for long periods.
-
Sometimes while driving. Those long straight stretches, I just prop my feet up on the steering wheel, and turn the headlights off to get some good Zs.....
But seriously, head behind the drivers seat, and I typically use a sleeping bag. Easier to pull one item out to wash when it needs done, and I hate having cold drafts on my feet. -
Head near the drivers side , simply because that's where all the heat/air controls and light switches are at.
-
I started in a kw600 so I went passengers seat. Storage access convenience.
Then later on when I got an opti idle truck I switched.
Problem is you get so used to spinning to your right....well your face meets the upstairs bunk and you kick all your junk.
So pick one and stick with it!!!!
I still did the turn suck in and duck maneuver coming in and out of the sleeper BTW even with those giant evo sleepers. Habit is habit.... -
The controls for the APU / bunk controls are on the drivers side of a Freightliner. Rather hard to work the controls with the feet.
BoazTrucker Thanks this. -
Head on drivers side.
Unless I can't find a suitable parking spot.
I won't try to sleep with my head below my feet (if the truck is at an angle.) -
Butt Butt naked!! With my head behind driver seat and buttocks facing the wall, spent some time in the penitentiary!!!
lovesthedrive and BoazTrucker Thank this.
