It's not running good every time the tanks are full but the times it does the tanks are full

You can do the fitting and hose like you said . Or go to peterbuilt and get there proper vent that screws into the top of the tank.

Look close at the cap , Ussally they will say on them somewhere if it's vented or non vented .

    seth Pivarnik Thanks this.

The caps def Not vented I have the same ones. Mine is 85 as well, but I have vents on the tanks. Would make sense if tanks not getting proper flow.

My tanks have 3/8 breather tubes that come out top of tank and wrap around and go down around the inside of tank. If you don't have anything like that. Then smokin cat and wore out have the right idea, I would probably buy vented caps see how it goes.

The vent caps are in the mail. But couldn't get the new suction line on, local shop didn't have the right fittings so I got another place that is closed on the weekends but I'll try and get in there this coming Monday or Tuesday. Quick question though. I took the line off the other side of the water separator that goes to the lift pump and stuck if in a can of diesel to see if it would run any different which it didnt. Would that eliminate it being a line or vent issue??

If you run the suction line in a bucket and run her down the road I would say that would eliminate a vent/suction tube issue
