I'm netting 50k now as a company driver on a dedicated route. Are the rates really that bad that someone can't run without much home time?

 

As a team really??? Did 110k net here this year and took 3 weeks vacation and home 3 weekends a month. That's at 1.13 cpm to the truck. Is freight that cheap there?

 

Why would anyone change companies to go from 110 k a year hoping for 120 k.

I'm not saying it can't be done however the competition for loads is tremendous and anyone on here who says they are doing just as good this year as last are working harder to do that.

It can be done but it's tough.

The Bean counters got greedy and grew the program way too fast.

That's why there's SO MANY used empty trucks sitting in Charlotte.

 

Interstate distributor has the new program where you book off the load board. But it's fairly new and there's not a whole lot of information as to whether it's worth a darn or not.. its called the freedom board I believe

 

If you run dumb you could work 365 days a year and earn less than a company driver.
If you run smart of you could 1/3 the year off and clear $80,000+ after all costs.
Drivers have done both here.
All depends on you.

 

Sadwar is a good example.. a lot of it does depend on what area you live in and what areas are you willing to run...

 

I called them to get info.
They said they would email me screenshots of the load board in different markets.
Went on and on trying to get me to apply.. i said this is what I'm earning here, if i see i can earn more there I'll apply.
Never heard back from them or got those screen shots.
I am curious to what kind of rates they get there.

Since there hasn't been anything on the interstate thread in mind about that program... Leads me to believe the program ain't nothing but garbage...

 

Also with you mentioning that they Stonewalled you on the snapshots simply because they don't want to show you just how crappy their board is because if they're born was great you think they'd want to sell everyone here's what we offer and since they can't they want to be as people and that's going to backfire on them
