So, the back is almost all put back together. Had to fab up brackets for the mud flap hangers as I can not bolt them to the side of the frame. They have to index of the back and wrap around the side of the frame. The 1/2 fenders are mounted back up. It kills me they are different brands left and right but it will have to do for now. Still have to put the catwalk back on.![]()

Well after countless hours of nights and weekends she is as ready as I can make her!!!! Along with all the stuff I posted I have fixed a dozen small air leaks, broken wires, coroded conectors, degreasing, water leaks, new stereo, cracked interior trim pieces and rusted bolts. I took it into town last night with the trailer and washed and fueled. There is a little wind noise and some squeaks I'll have to deal with as I roll along. There are also a few interior pieces that will need replacement along with upgrading speakers. Truck full of fuel and boxes loaded is 29700#
I pick up my first load on Monday!!!!!singlescrewshaker, tommymonza, Ruthless and 5 others Thank this. -

Thanks, I obiously know the trans and clutch are good. I did one wheel seal on each rear axel and the bearings looked perfect along with the fluid in the rears. I had to drain all the antifreeze to fix the hot water leak on the block heater and it looked good too. Brake pads all around only have a few thousand miles on them but drums are perty worn. The slack adjusters all move freely.
I only budgeted about $8k for pre road repairs and I'm there with the trans and the tires.
As fast as I can get another $6k to $10k in the bank I will open the valve cover for a overhead and see what we got? It doesent make any strange noise but these are famous for eating cams. If it stats making any symptoms I will address it immediately but would like to wait till I got more cash. I'm sure there are a thousand other things that will nickel and dime me. I know the ac needs a charge, it still works and blows cool the compressor cycles a bit much.
Now the 06 reitnour 48x102 trailer I bought looks good and was in use up until last week. Tires are good and brakes are fair. However one of the 3 tool boxes is junk and there is quite a bit of corrosion on the suspension where it attaches to the aluminum frame. I'm sure it's fine but I lived most my life in the southwest so I'm not fully educated on the stages of rust. (Lol)

Looking good. I've always liked the International 9200 and 9400. At least aesthetically. Never driven one though. Once I have about 5 years or so under my belt those will be some of the models at the top of my list to buy so I can lease on with a good flatbed carrier.

Got my load picked up and made it 395 miles today. 1 hour from delivery. Left turn signals on the trailer quit working somewhere along the way. Think I have it fixed? The dash shows 8.33 mpg. I'll fill up tomarow, can't believe that's even close but we will see?singlescrewshaker, Ruthless, Road Killer and 3 others Thank this. -
