Business Dilema

Been there done that, not as an o/op. Repairs up North are absolutely ridiculous. In Edmonton the dealer shop hour is $170. Third part mechanic is $135/hr.

I couldn't afford to run the ice, even if I wanted to. Which I don't.

That's just why the company I'll be pulling for requests a truck around 8500kg.

My truck currently is 9800kg empty. That's 21600lbs.

They'll want to pack as much as the can on the b-train decks. Same thing if I haul woodchips.

No I have not. But thank you. That's a giod idea. Will look into it.

 

It's flat b-train. If it was regular flat, step or lowbed I think it wouldn't be a problem at all.

I did indeed make up my mind, as I have explained it in an earlier reply.

I will take the 20k hit in the long run to ensure that I don't damage my credit, all my bills are covered, and if anything shouldn't happen in the two months till first cheque, at least I have SOME money to grab onto.

It's been tough in today's economy, out here in Alberta, where nothing is moving. After a total of 9 month of poor net income with 5 of those months with extremely poor earning, I'm between a rock and a hard place all my savings are now long long gone.

The move must be made.

 

Is that good or bad? Don't know lbs very well.

 

Is that just me or is that a really heavy daycab?
