Just finished Bevill State Truck Driving Course. It is 6 full weeks and fairly intensive. Total tuition was 1476.00. They have a good reputation and many companies LOVE to hire their graduates. I think this is because they are not a diploma mill. My class started ou with 19 and graduated 11. A few quit and 2 failed. They work with you and try very hard to help you pass, but if you do not pass, you do not pass. Their instructors are certified 3rd party testers by the state. This means when you take your final road test for the course, you have just passed the state road test. Take your paper to the DMV and get your license immediately. I highly recommend them. The training you recieve for the tuition you pay is a very good value.

Dozens of trucking companies to choose from; which did you choose?

I just finished the course as well, we had two fail as well. Started with 17 and I think 12 passed. A few dropped out before it was over. They also have a night training program starting soon.
DRAGON64 Thanks this. -
Sorry to post on such an old thread, but I just had orientation at Bevill this past Friday and was looking for info on the class.
We had 19 for orientation, only three of us had already gotten our permits. but they said the three of us will be driving tomorrow while the rest of the class will be in the classroom for the next week.
they told us that at completion we'd have 200 hours of instruction and stated that that's prety rare.
So how did you guys do after school? Did you get with a good company pretty quickly?
