Here is one for you is the Corpate lodging card a rewards/ discount card. Then you put the rest of the hotel bill on your personal credit card. Then the company reimburses you for the difference.I want to be a medium load member like you
-
keep the questions coming guys alot of good info....#beenMIA and back on the hunt
-
No the corporate lodging card is a credit card that you will swipe at the counter and you will see the bill on the credit card you have on file with them days later. It cannot be used with any other discounts.
I threw my corporate lodging card in the trash years ago BTW. I went to a hotel and I always ask first what thier cdl rate is (she told me $54 after tax) then ask what corporate lodging rate is(she tell me $42) because keep in mind tax and transaction fees get added on to the corporate lodging price so in order for corporate lodging to do you any good it has to be at least $8 cheaper than the best offered rate.
Well that particular time I get the bill on my credit card and it comes back like $65! I call corporate lodging and they basically tell me sorry about my luck. I tell them sorry about thiers and dispute the charge on my card and call the hotel and pay them the $54.
Of course none of this applies if you're a company driver that is handed a corporate lodging card but if you're an owner op then you better watch them like a hawk!Travisroland Thanks this. -
How are damages handled. When picking up at a plant or railhead.I'm sure you have a method or routine,in the way you check the cars out.Is there someone to go to when you find something. Do you still end up loading or taking the cas, with damages to the dealer as is
-
I'm sorry but how do you Pm
-
Where are you out of. I live in Houston and am very interested.
-
Wow that was a lot of great info. The only think that sucks is getting paid every 2 weeks at Usal. Does anyone know if at Hansen and Adkins you get paid every week or two.
-
Hansen pays weekly, USAL biweekly but it's not bad. Hansen is a good company from what I hear but USAL is based out of Houston and is the trucking division of Gulf States Toyota so that one customer that we will never lose which means job security for Houston drivers.
