Went to the Flying J at the 205, plenty of parking. Time for showers and laundry. Past time actually.

I always try to pickup with minimum half full fuel tank. Last week picked up, scaled and was 80500, they took one pallet off, 79750. Drove to Limon CO for the night, scaled again and fueled 70 Gallons + 15 Gallons of DEF, scaled again, 12040 on steers, 34040 on drives and 33940 on tandems, gross 80040. My math was right

When I'm running like I did at Gordon (under 400 miles/run), I don't mind doing that, but if I'm doing 2000 miles and it's tight I don't want to stop and put 50-75 gallons in all the time.
Also Celadon has a policy of not going over--they paid me for an extra stop to go back and rework it. Took an hour, no skin off my teeth. They set up the fuel schedule to fill in Castaic and the next stop is in Washington somewhere...their equipment, their rules. They're rescheduling the appointment for Friday.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
The thing that blew my day was that I had to go back to the shipper but they didn't open til 8. I was up at 3 to get an early start. I changed my logs to save my hours but couldn't get back to sleep and now I'm in need of some rest. Whatever, I pick up zero hours tonight so the 4 hours I didn't use today will help out over the next two days.

That truck is an absolute SLUG up a hill. Grapevine took forever. As did every other incline. I have a thousand miles to do by Friday morning and I'm going to use every minute I have to do it.
Dominick253 and TB John Thank this. -

Stopped two times after filling up the 70 G on my last trip of 1800 miles, filled up 60 G and 80 G. I can fuel at all Pilot/Flying J and and can choose wherever I want. And I can go over up to 400 lbs thanks to the APU.
Was running out of hrs yesterday and today, my delivery was rescheduled to one day later. Stopped today with 5 min left on my 70, more than 4000 miles since Monday last week.Dominick253 and Captain Zoom Thank this. -
