Haya, OP. . . how about 4-square? not a disrespect at ALL; it was a game we played on school grounds as kids; and your g-paw probably did also.
There's your reason for the season. No dis at all; i commend you.

    84square and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

And since he is so young and will possibly be using it for many many years to come, that works out to just pennies a year... Good solid investment if you ask me...

A bit off topic and meaning no disrespect to your mother... But depending on what area of trucking you get into its more an issue of lifestyle.

Personally, I am a pushing 50 year old, second career guy coming from a rather long white collar career in Accounting and Business Office Management... And now I am doing Over The Road (OTR) trucking... I am very much not a traditional trucker (again, no disrespect intended) and I LOVE the lifestyle... I see a different beautiful part of this country every day, every state looks and feels different, and every day is different in its own way... From sunshine to snow to rain to the people you meet along the way. My wife will be leaving her chosen career this summer and joining me too.

But, if I were a younger man with wife and family at home... Well, that would be a negative, for me, as one is out here for many weeks at a time.

The old saying can be true... "Find something you love to do and you'll never work a day in your life"

Ok, now back to finding you a handle.

^^ great post, MWMD . . . kinda how wife and I here rolled also. She was white collar, til i got asphalt on it. LoL but really in a way . . .

The old saying can be true... "Find something you love to do and you'll never work a day in your life"

That says it all. Hope ya figure out your handle; I'm actually impressed that someone your age even WANTS one, instead of a smart-phone with a zillion "other" apps that "supposedly" trump the NEED or desire for a real CB~!!!!

    Kudos!

    MidWest_MacDaddy and 84square Thank this.

@pattyj my wife has a CD with allthose Red Sovine songs she drags along when she rolls with me (she's just doing school buses now...) and I swear she plays them to watch the tears roll down my face.
@truckon . . . good point. My handle is my screenname, it's an old fighter jet, and it's my name.

Great input, y'all. Guess i'm gonna listen to some of that music with the wife, Patty!

    truckon Thanks this.
