Actually you're wrong sir on a month we do our dedicated account it's 7.6 mpg if we have to do other loads because our shippers are slow (mainly paper loads) our mpg is 7.2.

Ok if you say so is there anything you don't know???? I drove the truck and owned it for 400,000 miles I believe I know what it would do.

Lots of things I don't know, but I do know math.
In the case of running in direct, it's a simple equation of: Tire rpm x axle ratio = engine rpm @ 60mph. If your not running in direct, you also multiply by the transmission gear ratio for the gear you will be running in.
To get your rpm at a different speed, divide the engine rpm from the above equation by 60, then multiply it by your desired speed.
So, take a low pro with an rpm of 495
495 x 2.64 = 1306 rpm @ 60mph
Now, for 75mph
1306/60 = 21.766 x 75 = 1632rpm @75mph -
My brain hurts.

If the OP still want's more info on options. This is a dealer in my area for volvos, if you want to look for some in your area go to http://www.volvotrucks.com/trucks/na/en-us/dealers/Pages/dealer_locator1.aspx The main takeaway is the full service(maintenance account) lease. You pay around 0.06-0.09 cents per mile and it covers everything on your truck. So if you drive out the dealer and your engine or battery dies on you the dealer will cover everything. Much better option IMO than having a maintenance account and run the risk of paying the rest if you don't have enough saved.
Of course you would have to have good credit guys. I advise to pay a local credit repair business if you are really interested in making that leap.
P.S. I only know that volvo offers this I may have heard someone mention Kenworth but you would just have to google it yourself.Last edited: Feb 27, 2016

Nope I dont. Just learning along the way.

Is there any way to get around hiring area issues for those who want to lease? Without moving, I mean.

I happened upon your videos this past week as I was watching a bunch of vids on schneider leasing. But you're with interstate distributors, right? I've been trying to contact erin about leasing this past week and I can't get her on the phone. Can you give any details about their lease program?
