I fortunately only ever got a taste of running a paper book that was more a joke than truthful. Glad I never picked it up. So I have zero idea what you guys did back in the day. And I want to keep it there. It's just not worth it today.

I do remember many times, my father would come home after a week running the east coast and he'd spend a couple hours Friday night drinking a few cold ones and writing out a week's worth of logs. Good times.

That's oddly about the same time my logs got all colorful and my Tonka trucks started loading like freight trains and running like a race car.

Fathers... Teach you all the good in life.

I would tell the POS owner, no problem. Here is your truck, good bye. If he doesn't trust your judgement, the hell with him. It's your life on the line out there, not his.
