100k warranty? Engine and drive train? Or other parts. Seems to me if these are recurring or never fully corrected issues, that since they were brought up before that threshhold was met they are still covered.

Personally I'd be having a rather pointed discussion with my rep.

I will be having that discussion believe me....

Warranty I was told is only for the engine and drive line......NOT anything attached to the above.

Hoses, lines etc. Are not covered after 100k.

I see in another thread the competition is causing some load issues...... I'm glad there's no competition from all these drivers that will be brought on......

Glad I run cheap, no competition for my loads.....lol

A friend of mine drives a Kenworth 680 for another company. It has a Paccar engine. His first engine problem occurred recently at about 223k miles. Woke up, started the truck, had some warning lights. Had it towed in. Got fixed by that night. It was covered under warranty.
Too bad Schneider doesn't get a better warranty. .

If it's in the engine it's covered this was the coolant line to the fuel water seperator that went bad or leaked and it wasn't covered.

A check engine light and hoses failing are far different.
    Not even worth mentioning.

As for warranty..SFI has a decent one in place that covers engine components and the after treatment system.
TennMan stated he was over the 1 year/100K bumper to bumper that EVERY new truck comes with.
He had problems with the cooling system before so I would bet that KW missed something when they fixed it.

So you only get one year bumper to bumper warranty? How much of a difference if you had purchased a extended warranty?

I haven't heard one good thing about that motor. I think OOIDA had mentioned a lawsuit regarding because they were so faulty
