Hi there. I recently bought a 2007 vt-880 it has the d16-625 engine. Anyways for some strange reason it has no backup lights other than the ones on the back of the sleeper. Any good ideas as to where I might be able to mount a set?
VT 880 backup light suggestions? (Mounting)

I had a 2010 VN780... I think the design of the cab is the same aside from yours having a larger sleeper and a different hood if it's a VT series. I mounted a set of Pella lights on the sleeper fairing brackets where they would be out of the wind but still capable of lighting up the catwalk and about 30 or so degrees outboard of the trailer. I put them on the 3rd bracket up if I remember correctly. I've also seen folks mount them to the outside of the sleeper fairings (in the wind) which would be better for backing but also open to damage from road debris.

Mine has outboard stacks and no fairings

Fyi, the VT880 and VN780 are exact same sleeper. VT880 uses different rear cab extension fairings for looks.
