I've been on my account for 3 years, and an IC on it since they first opened it up to ICs. They just sent out the notice last night, it says it applies to all Dedicated ICs. They stopped allowing new Dedicated ICs a while back on all accounts, I've been kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop since then. Reckon it finally did.

Wow! What a load of crap. That's really messed up to just drop ICS like that. No notice no warning. Just bam. Not sure on your account but the one I'm on the ICS were not even making a 1.00 a mile so its not like the ICS are making a killing.

Yeah, I really can't do any worse by going on Choice as I wasn't exactly raking in the moolah before. It met my needs, but now I might make a little extra or not have to run as hard as I did before for the same amount. Maybe it won't be so bad. I suppose I'll have a learning curve to endure, but whatcha gonna do? I'll get to see more than the back of the same handful of box-stores.

A guaranteed rate of 1.00 mile is higher than a lot of the rates they're posting on some of these loads lately.

They are not allowing IC's to be on dedicated because it's a fixed rate. Too much like company I have been told which is why the legacy board went away.
So now we will see most of the choice loads continue to drop. -

...dedicated IC's don't even make a buck a mile. It's less. If I'm going to do this, by God I'm not going to just grab up the uber cheap loads. Either I make it worth my while, or I bail. I just wish they'd been a little more upfront about this, as all of them knew I was in the process of getting a new truck. That's the thing that really gets me. I know I've been taking it sideways for a long while, but I was in my comfort zone and I was able to get home a lot. They knew they were going to dump us onto Choice, hence why they slowed down bringing on Choice ICs over the last few months. My problem is I live in an area that's hard to get out of, and now there's 14 IC trucks on my account alone that will be thrown into this. I'm sure some of those trucks will just go to other companies, but they are glutting the local market for the time being. There are a few other companies that run dedicated routes out of Denver, but they don't pay jack from what I've seen. What they offer per mile makes what I was doing on dedicated look like a gold rush. I know how to keep my operating costs low, but dang, it's getting butt stupid around here.
