    Use thick corner protectors so the chains don't rub the steel. Use rachett binders because your shoulder won't hurt like it's popping out of socket. And racket binders don't wiggle loose like snap binders. I don't know how snap binders wiggle loose but they do. Even when they were tight when I left. Ratchet binders I didn't have that issue

    @shurenough sure was.
    Melton only gives you snap binders so that's what I used. I've used ratchet binders before and prefer snap now. A lot easier and quicker for me personally. I do miss how easy ratchets are to adjust later on down the road though.

    Those grapevines are always full of bad news lol
    One driver told me they were starting to order all automatics now too, even so I know I've got at least 4 years left with this truck as long as it doesn't blow up

    Those grapevines are usually always bad , I asked point blank about the automatic and was told no . I'll have to ask about the binders next time I'm in a terminal .

    Forget everyone's opinion for one moment , love them or hate them the FACT is that automatics get better fuel economy than any standard no matter who the driver is . This is not my opinion , my guess is most companies will make the switch eventually.
