Your trucks weigh what they weight I cannot dispute what you measure. But I have to ask are you sure you don't remember the Cascadia as being 500lbs heavier?
Every Crapcadia I have weighed was 2k - 2.5k for sleeper trucks over the identical Columbia. I found that out the hard way when running on a reefer fleet where net weight is always maxed out. And the purchase of Cascadias had the fleet defaulting on the contract. The only evidence that I can find online is the chart from Celedon. Who would think this crappy company had this information:https://www.celadontrucking.com/cms400min/celadon2013/pdfs/combined-weight-chart.pdf
I think those numbers are pretty good. That shows the Crapcadia is 1k over the same Columbia. But' I am sure that is for pre '10 emissions trucks. Celadon bought into that non-def maxforce bs. I am sure those weights are for pre '10 non def trucks.
Overall model for model '10 emissions trucks gained 500lbs. Def tank, hardware, plumbing, def, larger particulate. Found this in all brands. So if it 1.5k or 2k, I am not dead sure but it is heavier and still makes my point.
There is a reason Prime, Swift, and Gordon jumped on buying the mini-me sleepers after the Crapcadia came out. They couldn't meet contract obligations with the new Cascadia. The little sleeper ditches less the 1k but it was necessary to keep customers happy with the Crapcadia and emissions.

Wore out nailed it.
The fact that the load wasn't "legal" on the drive axles on Danny's end is really irrelevant, the other truck would have still been over gross regardless.
THAT'S what they got pinched on. When you're over gross, you're going to be over axle somewhere. If they were under gross but over axle, they could argue that it's partially his fault because the load could have been reworked to be legal but Danny was clearly under gross, the fact that they were over gross trumps that argument, they were going down regardless. -
Still under the impression that the company conned danny on this.
If this was indeed a charge back of $4,000.. show me the ####ing OVERWEIGHT TICKET! not some dummy paper with numbers written on. I wouldnt leave the office until I demand the overweight ticket. For all I know, this could be ########.Toomanybikes and RERM Thank this. -
Someone is screwing you, get a copy of the ticket first, then fight
Look at the ca fine structure in this page http://myticketrescue.com/index.php/en/ticket-411/class-a-b-license/overweight-tickets
You would have to be 10k over to get a $4000 ticket.
Free advice it may be a long time before you get any money back and if you keep working they will take more. Don't count on the lost money , find a new job, and if they say bad things about you you need a trucking attorney

I'm thinking part of this $4000. is for reworking the load at the scale to make it rightToomanybikes, truckon, mslashbar and 2 others Thank this.

Don't need to rework it, just put a lighter truck under it.

Fine for overweight was around 1900. 500 for the driver because he stayed there for 9 hours so basically detention haha this guy is super happy then another 800 for someone to come with a dry van so they can deliver and some other stuff xD that's what it was for
Toomanybikes Thanks this. -
Sounds like HIS truck is heavier than yours. How is that your problem ?
If he picked it up in California with a daycab, and it was legal there, you delivered it with your sleeper and got ticketed, would they bill HIM ?
If you have the CAT tix showing legal gross, I would think you'd have recourse.
What's in your contract ? -
And from what I've seen in Cali... not CARB compliant, floppy fenders, half the lights burnt out, and more primer than paint.

that why you download a app called call recorder on your phone and record all phone calls
