My friend says that emissions issue is the only problem he has had with the truck at 223k miles. Paccar engine.
Maybe he is lucky on his.

Haven't exactly been happy with my T680 either. No major mechanical problems, yet. But the wind noise at highway speed is just awful, that started at around 2k mi. Now it leaks when it rains, really 38k mi on a truck and it freakin leaks?

At 10k miles it started leaking coolant, been in the shop twice for that. First time they said it was a clamp under the heater cool. Second time it was supposedly another loose clamp on the return hose, which I'm thinking at the time I would have seen that and could have fixed it myself. Still has a coolant leak.

I am definitely not impressed with the build quality of this truck.

If you have a leak and you are not seeing evidence of it, it may well be a leaking EGR cooler. That is going to cause a lot of serious problems down the road.

TennMan, you may want to see if your insurance company offers a Roadside Assistance program. I purchased one back in 2014...it cost me $28.00 each month, but has paid for itself for those expensive tows when your truck does break down on the road.

Tenn man, sorry to hear about your truck, but was going to offer that when I was still leasing with SNI, if I had any problems at all with Freightliner (mine was wayyyyy out of warranty), I just called the finance people and they got their arses straightened right out. SNI carries a big stick. Don't be afraid to call finance and tell them your story. You might have better luck.

75 north in TN is opened back up.

1 lane (hammer) is open and the back up was minimal just 14 miles.

I think I'll still take detour til both lanes open.
