Well at least it wasn't a far drive.....it would have been my first run ever out of the town I live in...

It was a huge off center "T" pipe and it just did not look right....and I doubted their weight.

It was a load from a coal power plant... massive steel pipe expansion chamber... that they had claimed weighed 15k.

It had to go on off center to account for the "T" and I didn't feel like driving the entire way tilted to the side!

Didn't bother...it was a big waste of time and I just wanted outta there!

If I would have another axle maybe.....but I don't know.

How do you guys deal with heavy off center stuff?

Put the T at the back and angle across the deck.

    What he said.

In a perfect world, all the loads are uniform. But our world is nowhere near perfect. There are actually some loads where you have to load them on the trailer to get the weight even on the trailer, and wind up oversized.

Ask the guys how do they figure put how they figure out how evenly load an uneven piece. Should be quite educational.

It was a T in the middle and it was 96" wide at T.....20' long total. My bed is 25.6x102".

It was silly. Roughly 13k of 15k load was all down the drivers side.....and I mean like the edge of the drivers side.

How tall was the T part? Could you have the T upright like a stack? Chain it side to side to keep it from tipping?

I thought about it so I asked and then we all agreed no....laying that way would have placed these big arse welded on lobes on my bed and would have required far more dunnage than I carry.

Well sometimes crap happens lol on to the next load. On a straight truck like yours you do have to be a little more careful in how you load things. I've loaded things off centre if I had too but I was pulling a 6 axle trailer at the time.

    Mattflat362 Thanks this.

I have seen concrete Mafia/bin blocks chained down on one side of an load similar to the one you describe. You do carry mafia block with you right? lol
