I'd ask what's wrong with the shower at the ABQ terminal but then I remembered that you won't use terminal facilities.

Still at home fighting this flu again. Been getting pplans and they are eastern PA and NE New York. Been watching the weather and no way way. One was upper New York and then DH 225 miles to PA and pick up a HVH going to GA, the good old 200 miles. Depending on the roads and weather, that DH Miles, not even taking a chance

Sorry to hear that you are still fighting a flu.
A little more sleep is recommended by Dr. Moose.

I finally got a load out of Albuquerque today. A nice heavy load of paper out of Prewitt - we all know that place, I'm sure.
There were 7 Swift trucks there when I got there, and 3 more arrived before I was sent in.
There was one bummed out driver when I got there. He was late because he followed his GPS, which sent him who knows where, and was bummed because it would hose his Platinum status.
And the Mac 23 'directions' no longer give actual directions to this place. It only says to bring a newer year trailer. Stupid.

But it didn't take that long this time. I was gone within 2 hours.

I'm headed back to City of Industry, CA for a Monday morning unload.
At least I hope it is Monday morning. There was a big green sticker on the BOL to call for an unload appointment, even though there is a wide window of time on the load assignment. The person I need to speak with isn't there on the weekend.

    Unbelievable.

My delivery today got rescheduled for 1700 so I sat around all day at the terminal.
I get there, right on time, and proceed to get a very quick unload.
My 14 was down to 3 hours at this point.

A pplan came in just as I got there. It was simple enough. Drive 10 miles to Miller to pick up a damaged trailer and bring it back to Jurupa. It was missing a door.

I get there, drop my mt and find the damaged trailer.
When I went back to check the damage I found the driver side door on the ground next to the trailer. It had been torn right off the hinges.
I look inside and find a couple load locks and about 1/3 of the trailer loaded with pallets of beer.

The security guard informed me that there would be no one in shipping/receiving until morning.
ECT transferred me to a different department and I told that lady what was going on.
She tells me that she is making out a report but that I need to do a Mac 55 to let on-road know what is happening to see what they want to do.
??? Huh? I need to let them know?
    NO! !!!
I just came to pick up a damaged trailer. It is NOT my responsibility to fix the mess or inform every department of what they should already have known. That is for you and CSR to work out - not me!
I just want to be taken off this load so I can get dispatched on the load I am picking up in the morning.
I am out of time, so I'll just be grabbing back my mt and head back to the terminal.

The nerve, expecting me to do all the footwork on a pre-existing problem that should have been taken care of before I was ever given the assignment.

    inkeper Thanks this.

I set my alarm for 0730 this morning because my next pick up was at 1000.
That was IF I ever got dispatched on it.

My DM called at around 0745 and asked if I had an mt. I said yes, he said 'not good'. ?
And then he dispatched me for that new load.
I'm wondering, if I hadn't had the mt would he have sent me back to Miller to pick up that damaged trailer? I'll never know.

But I went to P&G in Moreno Valley for my new load.
I went to the TA to scale the load.
I was over weight by over 1000 pounds on the trailer, so I had to backtrack 30 miles to the shipper.
By the time they reworked the load I had gone to Walmart for a food run and then sat around for another half hour.
The guard told me of a closer CAT scale that was only 6 miles away. Not along my route, but certainly better.
Sure wish I had gone there this morning.
All in all not that bad, but it cost me over 4 hours of time.

By that time it was rush hour, so I headed back here to Jurupa for the night.

I ended up 30 minutes over on my 11 today.

When I got to Walmart to deliver I had 5 minutes left on my 11, and I went to On-Duty.
Then I could not find an mt that wasn't full of pallets, went to ask a yard dog, and the stupid QC kicked me back on the drive line - with all that wandering around I was 17 minutes in the red.

No way around it, and I still had to exit the DC with another 3.5 miles to drive to the nearest safe place to park.
By the time I got here it was at 30 minutes.
Before I went off the drive line I added the comment 'driving to a safe haven'.

It's the first time this has happened to me, and I'm wondering what Swift will say about it.

Don't worry about it Moosetek. I've gone over on my 11 a couple times for similar reasons and Swift has never said anything about it. Now if you made a habit of doing it constantly, then you might get called in for a conference. But with this being your first time, they won't say a thing.

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.
