    It's very possible to pull a 100,000 a year might have to work your soul out but it's possible

    It's not just the trucking industry. Wages have not kept up with inflation across the board, unless you're a CEO.

    Exactly, in the past we kept more in our pockets after expenses, trucks cost way less, tires, repair shop rates, etc. The fact dollar is worth so much less than 20-30-40 years ago. We all (o/o's) should be getting probably like $3-4/mi. minimum to keep up with inflation over the years. Same old story, problem is truckers can never get together, to strike like in other countries, to stand up for their fair share and treatment.

    Strike? You ask 20 truckers the same question you'd get 20 different answers. Thats how much truckers agree.

    some freight brokers make 100gs so money is going somewhere... and yes middle class is disappearing for sure. the gap betwin reach and poor is getting bigger

    the thing is its a free market. if somebody can do it for less money is not against the law so striking is not going to solve anything. but driver treatment or home time or company driver minimum wage is another story
