Not so much in trucking, eh.....
What makes you assume I haven't? I've been driving for a while, long enough to realize that I don't enjoy OTR work and like my family/friends. Doesn't mean, though, because it sucks and a great way to reduce your overall mental and physical health that somehow it isn't a job any clown could do.Last edited: Mar 7, 2016

I'm glad we had this conversation, who knows, I might say the same once I get that 75k plus local gig going. looks to me like I'd have to move to an area that pays said numbers but yah never know.
hind sight is always best... right ? -
not all local gigs pay that.It depends what type of trucking you do.LTL pays good but I think you unload your trailer. Some of the local gas hauling pays real well.Hauling grain here doesn't pay that great. There's many different types of local driving jobs.Just depends what youre looking for and you dont have to have alot of exp to be making good money.Of course you won't be making as as much as someone that's been with the company 5 years but still a good salary.
