Cracks me when I hear owner Ops says since fuel is way cheaper I don't care about fuel mileage. HELLO! Have you ever heard of fuel surcharges?! Cracks me up. For example 6.5 mpg @ $2.50 =$0.3846/mile but if could care less because cheaper fuel and you get 1.5 mpg less at 5 mpg and $1.65 fuel that's $0.33/mile. Yeah cost is $0.0546 cheaper but on average your fsc probably dropped $0.14 leaving you $0.0854/mile less. Simple math homework people!!!
5.5 mpg @ $1.65 is $0.30 mile so still losing $0.0554/mile after fsc difference.aron12 Thanks this. -
Still here!! Last of the mohicans !! Lol !! It's been very tough winter.. Wish I had something positive to say, but not today!!

What's changed $$$ wise, on your weekly settlements, is it slow or did your $$$ drop because of the new mileage pay? -
I just signed on to R&M. But u can tell you that a 1/4 of the trailers on the yard at r&m are Bruenger trailers. As well we can pkup any Bruenger at a facility when doing a drop and hook. So makes you wonder on that one...

Yep!! I am currently pulling an R&M trailer.. I pulled it from Tyson in Emporia Kansas all the way to NC.. Then used it and ran a few brokered loads back to LA, and then to AZ.. It's not unusual to see us pulling eachothers trailers any more..MayhemTrucking Thanks this.

Rooadrunner, Forward Air, Hvh and Fti are all owned a company called HCI. so I haul everything y'all do except trailers. We do a lot of roadrunners out of Bolingbrook

Well still here and trucking.. Making a killing and a ton of money!! April Fools! Lol
But I am still here! Still running on 70%. It has been a miserable winter as far as freight goes. On avrage I hauled about 1300 to 1500 miles a week on avrage.
Have not fallen behind on any truck payments, and the freightliner is ticking right along.
Just had my Medical Renewal so I'm good for another year.. Lol //
Started the week off by going to St. Joseph, Mo to Sheboygan Falls, WI that payed about $550 after everything is taken out, then went from GreenBay to VA and that paid about $1100 after everything and found myself a load out of VA to OH that was 2000 lbs went 260 miles and paid 3.20 mile (hehe) so I'll make about $450 after everything is taken out. So unless I settle for another short load should see a take home of about $1200 to $1300 for another slow week..
Hoping to find a load threw the weekend that will make next weekend a little fatter.. Need a coast to coast load but seems like all the MAGA Carriers are swallowing them up and then pay there drivers $1.00 a mile..
