Some do AND i don't have time to get into it now, but a large gov't organization actually does the transactions with the main office while i'm there to pickup---so i know how much they paid----or i should say overpaid............

Mike2633 and Bob Dobalina Thank this.

My latest check is not a good example of what i make per week---i cashed out all of my vacation pay. Can you blame me? So the check gross was over $2000. So i decided not to post it. Will resume post next week.

Didn't get tipped this week even though had at least 4-5 residentials.

The other thing last week was i forgot to stop 15-50 feet at a RR crossing and cross in 1st gear as i had about 8,000lbs of hazmat.

Not real happy with the trucks----Volvos and international 9300's. i mean they run well, but i just don't dig the feel of them.

If i could continue with my questions about road:

i'm looking for the longest possible run(s) with no dockwork (not against dockwork, but i feel it would generally be smoother right now to stick with driving soley. Again, not against it---i do a little dockwork in the mornings now) A "turn and burn" would be ideal, but if not do we still use bunkhouses? And, if it is irregular, then how long would one have to stay out?

Concerning team runs, how long is the workweek usually?

There aren't many dockwork runs so you wouldn't really have an issue there, most are turn and burn, then you also have meet turns too. No bunkhouses anymore so if you do have a layover (very very rare) they put you up in hotel. If you do have a layover it'd be one night and next day heading home. Team runs vary, most are 4 day runs. with the occasional 3 day ones thrown in for good measure.

    Will update ASAP---very busy.

In the meantime, a lot of our volvo tractors have been suddenly recalled so we are having to use tandem axle rentals.

UPS may not do it, but Old Dominion seems to do layover runs rather frequently.

There's always an OD daycab parked at one of the hotels along US-13 in Seaford DE.

Have seen ABF trucks along 54 at a little motel there. Would they meet there, trade, and then return? Likely between ABQ and KC?

Did you copy and paste this from Tboards, or vise versa?

No, i started here and copied to over there. i would like to post in as many boards as possible, but i'm very busy.

Will post more checks asap, but in the meantime:

---Forgot to stop at a RR crossing with HazMat on board. And we carry a lot of Hazmat frequently.
