I completed 6 and a half month's at Smith transport , I was home every 2 weeks so I would get the Colgate/ Palmolive loads from Ohio to Atlanta. I averaged $700 dollars a week after taxes , when I stayed out on the road . If I went home for time off , I would average $500 dollars a week. I liked going out to Appleton, Wisconsin , that's just south of green bay,Wisconsin because I would get miles. Everything was mostly drop and hook. They paid me 39 cents a mile

This sounds like a really great route, not bad at all.

Amen Brother. Bottom feeder is putting it mildly. The owner Barry is a total scum. Professes to be a Christian. If he's a Christian, I'm the pope.Shaggy Thanks this.

It looks as though Smith Transport is a good company to drive for. It is also GREAT to see that you are happy driving for them.
God bless you and your family!

Road test is easy just drive it down the road up the hill and back with a loaded trailer. You have to back in beside two-parked trailers. Make sure you do your pre-trip other then that standard orientation ########Last edited: Aug 27, 2017
