I just changed my radiator after a over haul to a 4 row to keep the truck cooler I had a three row before the 4 and I am not seeing a different in my cats temp... Is there suppose to be a big difference in cool ?? I got the biggest radiator I could get for my t600 to keep my kitty cool I have a cat 3406e...

Also put the new grill in to protect new radiator could that be restricting air to much

I would say it's a combination of both. I tgink the grille needs to flow more air myself. Plus the more core's a rad has in it the harder it is for the air to get through without the fan sucking it through. Especially at low speeds. At highway speeds its not as noticeable but that grille isn't helping there. How hot is it running?

The Temps are regulated by the thermostat, so your only going to notice it running cooler climbing a hill with a load compared to your last radiator. You don't want it to run cooler on a normal run on the flat as the engine runs most efficient at normal operating temp.

I would loose the grill, looks like it covers about 50%, same as having a winter front half open.

Gotta agree with the above. A properly functioning tstat will regulate the engine temperature. I bet you'll see a difference on a long hard pull. The grill could be causing a restriction but I'd keep it on for now until you do a few hard pulls and see if the bigger rad is working.

I agree. Go back to a stock grille and put a bug screen on to protect it.

How much more was the big radiator vs a stock replacement?

I have not checked prices, but I've developed a cold leak in mine and will be replacing it when I get home.

I have an 04 Pre emissions C15 Acert in mine. 500/1850. I run a 190 thermostat for the winter and switch out to a 180 for the summer. I have not had any problems over heating. Gets warm climbing long grades. I hit the fan soon as temps reach 200,.. brings it right back down.

I dont mind paying a little extra for a better radiator,.. but if its not working better than the stock one,.. then I dont see any reason to pay a lot more if there is a large price difference.

I switched to a 4 row from the original 3 row in my T600 a few years ago and there was a very noticeable difference climbing hills and grades. It does a much better job cooling it down.
