You should know by now to NOT LEASE! If you can't save for the truck, you don't need it. I'll drive their truck into the ground before I lease from ANY company!

Leasing a car has been shown to be the most expensive way to buy a car. Renting a house or apartment is OK, if you plan on moving in less than 2 years, or if you're just getting on your feet, otherwise buying is a better way to go. And buying a house is like buying a truck, with the proper down payment, and credit, you are moving towards owning something, in the case of a house, something, that for the most part, goes up in value.

Face it, most people who lease trucks,...

    1) Lease from the company that dispatches them, so the company controls the purse strings.

2)Have little or NO money for a down payment.

    3)Have poor, or no credit.

    4) Think leasing is just a higher paying driving job, not starting a business.

Any of the above sound familiar in your situation, KingG239?

While I agree that 95% of the time leasing is not the way to go, your blanket statement is incorrect. There are drivers that have leases on trucks that do make more money than company drivers. But, 95% of the drivers that do lease are ill equipped with business know how to make it work and should have never taken the step.

It's not that someone can't save to buy a truck the fact is how much money you're getting to save to buy a truck. And there is a better chance of you leasing and getting more and you could save something. You can't say if you canthink save to buy one it's not for you. Now if I go into it and still can't save then I'll say leasing is not for me. People just scared to do thing. I might can't save as a company driver then I start leasing and then I'm saving. You just have to try a different way.
