If you have the paper IRP temp from your state just read the date that temp. will expir. and be sure to P/U plate before that date when it is mailed to you.

I have a friend who started at the same time as I with the carrier. He was a new o/o, and thought he would get in trouble having something in his window. He got inspected, and terminated because he got 75 csa points. I, on the other hand have driven cross country several times under temp, but never hassled because it was visible.melsno Thanks this. -

The temp plate from the dealer is a NO. A temp plate from Irp is yes.
Terry270, Bigdaddy00 and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
A temp plate from the dealer is just to get the truck home, not for work. Some states issue temporary IRP tags, but that would be issued by the motor carrier office. If it doesn't list all the states with 80,000 pounds next to them, you can't use it for work.
