Being a young female on the road, I have a pitbull. Biggest sweetheart ever and loves people. Greatest companion dog in my opinion.
When it comes to protection his presence alone deters many people from coming close to my truck, and he definitely makes his presence known.
My dog wouldn't hurt a fly, but I know if it came down to a bad situation I can rely on him to protect me.stylez80Nine, G13Tomcat, JenV and 1 other person Thank this. -

Oh yea forgot if you do get a pit make sure it's a true American pitbull not one of those doppie bully dogs that people try to say is a pit btw I own a true American female pit I rescued from a fighting ring down south she's a sweetheart just can't be around other dogs and is a awesome watchdog nobody can be close to the door without her barking.

Get a doberman. Awesome loyal friend for life and one of the smartest breeds out there. I had nothing but dobes growing up and Planning on getting one myself pretty soon. They are almost human with some of the stuff they do
