I am beginning a new driving position today with Cryogenics Transport, Inc. (CTI), a subsidiary of Kenan Advantage. They haul liquefied Oxygen, Nitrogen and Argon.
I start with trainer for 2-3 weeks, and also a 4 day safety classes coming up. My hope is to log the days activities as I go along here to document my experience. (I'll do my best.)

Oh, I forgot to mention, CTI is in Bozrah, CT, approx. 45 minutes from my home. I'll be home every day, emphasis on "day", as my schedule after training period will be 1700 to +/- 0500

I drive for Airgas and cti pulls Airgas trailers on occasion into the plant I'm out of. I actually don't like seeing cti or Ruan pulling airgas trailers. Both those companies pay sub par wages compared to what the industry standard is

Good luck and stay safe

I interviewed with KAG and I couldn't believe what the were offering as pay for a gasoline fuel hauler. I walked out of the interview when they told me. I've talked with other drivers for KAG around my area and they all say that since KAG have come in and bought up companies, pay and benefits have gotten worse. Screw kag. They are screwing us drivers over as badly as they can

Same in this area about KAG! Terrible wages for gas haulers.
Talking to Caroluzzi-Torissi Monday to see what they pay.
Being a NJ company I hope it will be better pay....
I will post it after I have that conversation with the terminal manager.BentleyB Thanks this. -

Gasoline used to be the best paying gig. Not any more.
The dirt haulers are making what the gas haulers are around here......
Kag sucks..... -
Okay, first off, I wish I could have posted each day during the 2+ week training process, but alas, I never could keep up with it. Secondly, I am sorry that some have chosen to use this thread to vent their individual frustrations regarding KAG and/or CTI.
I have completed five days of training, it began last Saturday and ran through early this morning. The best part for me is the fact that I am home every day, that was one of the deciding factors of course. The company, CTI, in Bozrah, CT haul three different industrial gases; Liquefied Oxygen, Liquefied Nitrogen and Argon. I don't know if it varies at other locations. The trainer is highly experienced with many years not only as a KAG?CTI employee, but also a tanker driver and 30 year commercial driving veteran.
I've learned the basics for pumping liquid out as well as filling the tank at the terminal. It isn't complicated, I did pick it up fairly quickly. I feel at this point that the paperwork and recording the day/load information may be the most challenging. But as with anything that is repetitive, I don't doubt that it will also come in time. Also completed at this juncture is the paperwork for employment, most of which has been done online. After I complete the training process and have been released by my trainer I will be sent to Ohio, I believe, for KAG company and safety orientation.
Have to say that I do like the company, the terminal I go to everyday, and the guys I have met thus far. I still have to adjust to a different schedule for working my shift will be 1700 to whenever +10-14 hours. But the money should proof to be worth the efforts and adjustments. I will post again next week, I am off for two days, returning to work on Saturday.
Stay safe all, thanks for reading!crazeydude and Ben Gunn Thank this. -
Good luck JMurphy! Thanks for the update.
