Shippers West is run by Dave Bowels ( think I just destroyed that) and is based in the Phoenix Navajo yard. They run primarily the 11 western where he pretty much pulls his own customer's freight. Have a friend who works for him and I also know Dave and a couple of the dispatchers since I'm domiciled out of Phoenix.

Ive heard of them but never seen one. It might be one of yhe smaller companies that navajo bought out. If so then they pretty much run the same as we do just different name on truck.same rules and so on

I don't work for Dave- Navajo driver- but those guys I know that do drive for him seem pretty satisfied. Problems usually start when they get stuck pulling our loads under our schedules. Friend of mine is on one right now- team run- and he's solo. Good miles though.

How does a solo do a team run? Is it a illegal hours type thing? I worked for navajo before but when they owned DSCO. Never had to run really hard on navajo schedules have things changed. If a load like that is so time sensitive and your a solo you have the right to say NO as a driver and safety concern. I dont want to pick in late afternoon to run it all night long to get in there in the AM next day. No load is worth my life. I have kids n a wife. Im not against work.... Im just saying.

There is a reason Navajo CSA score is so extremely high. If you value your own, stay away.
-
Or, you know, you learn how to drive and take care of your own. If you made it through a year of say, C.R. England with a steering wheel holder mentality, and then you moved on to another company but kept the same mentality, you're not a better driver for it.. you just got lucky.
