That is all fine and dandy if they are aimed right. Most idiots angle them up to enable them to see better. It is annoying as hell.

The yellow (amber) cuts through the snow easier to see.. but with the hids the snow enhanced and the flakes the size of golfballs.

After you get that amber light bar on, why don't you get about four of those
KC spotlights and mount them on your sun visor. That way when someone meets you they'll think a 747 is trying to land in the oncoming lane and give you plenty of space.

If I'm on a state rout I'll turn mine on if your are on. We might as well both be blind when we hit...

I would like to have some brights on the back of my trailer, I'd use them more then then fog lights. who needs fog light anyway? They are great to see what your going to hit, but good luck avoiding it.

Volvos like most cars and trucks, factory fog lights turn off the when lights are switched to high beam. OK (and I think PA and CT) require this so all manufacturers do it this way. . The Volvo truck may switch from fog lights to driving lights when switching from low to high beam.

Volvo headlights are the best. The low beam is a projector like only the high end cars had a decade ago. With the sharp cut off they do a great job of illuminating the road without blinding anyone.

The fogs should only illuminate a few feet ahead of the truck if aimed properly. They should not add any more usable light a highway speed as you should be looking far ahead of what a proper fog light illuminates at freeway speed. At slower speeds, the wide beam of the fog light should allow you to find the fog line without adding additional glare coming back at you from reflecting off the fog. That is what the fog light is for. If you have them aimed any higher the wide beam will blind on coming traffic.

Aimed properly, they should not add anything useful at freeway speed and the additional light can be hard for oncoming traffic. The less light your eyes get at night the less likely they are to get tired. Even if your fogs are aimed properly, the additional light is hard on other drivers eyes; it is more likely to tire them out. This is not a big deal for the driver that is just on the road for an hour or two at night, but if you travel all night in the dark those stupid fog lights will take a toll on you. Aim them properly and turn them off when not needed as a curtesy to others.

Oregon can and will give a ticket for fog lights at anytime.

Those with the the stupid Chinese HID arc welder light conversions need to be shot, trarred and feathered. They are illegal as hell and they blind other drivers.

We had a guy who used to run his fog/driving lights 24/7. He said it was safer.

Same guy who was stopped doing 87 MPH on the Indiana Toll Rd................
