Hey there friend. The only way that your employment history is revealed is when you give it to them at the company of your choice. Since you're going on to a motor carrier job, they'll require at least 10 years of your employment history. The DAC only comes into effect when you've been employed at the motor carrier and you quit, get fired, have an incident, or fail drug tests. This lets any other carrier who answers to HireRight your history as a trucker. Smh. I should know. LOL!

Thanks for all the responses. Guess I just wasted my free DAC report lol. Maybe now someone in my position will see it's a current driver only work history thing and not waste their time.

Dac they are completely retarded, they just copy and past what the info is. If you get get a really crap council, it gets fixed. If it doesn't get fixed and they are wrong and you get a good lawyer you still don't get paid.

The best way to understand DAC is to remember they are an information database/repository. Nothing more nothing less. You have contact with a carrier and they request your DAC file that request is recorded on DAC. You go to orientation it is listed if you leave early. If you are hired it goes in you DAC driving history. You abandon a truck or load, test positive on a UA, have an accident, or sometimes if you get a citation from a police officer it can sometimes find its way on DAC. Then if you ever quit that company or are fired they will list if you can be rehired or not. Then this information is available to your next employer, and so on. I have a copy of my DAC file and all of the above information is listed on it, even every CDL I have ever had. DAC is why I have always advised drivers to be painfully honest on your applications. Unless you have a recent copy of your DAC you just never know what has been placed there by an old employer.
