I Went To Work For Priority In Oct Of 06 And Finally Had It With Them. I Quit In June 07. The Problems With Them Are No Miles Due To Sitting Alot, Not Home On Weekends, (the Web Site Says Off On Wkends), They Pay Air Miles (not Good), The Dispatchers Are Real Back Ends Of Donkeys, Kept Forcing Me To Do Runs That I Did Not Want To Do. (suppose To Be No Force Dispatch), They Want You To Take Your Time Off From Home. When I Went To Work For Them I Told The Recruiter & Dispatcher That I Need To Be Home By Saturday So My Wife Could Go To Work. 99% Of The Time I Would Have To Drive 5 Or 6 Hrs Illegal Just To Get Home In Time. I Needed To Be Home To Watch My 12 Wk Old Daughter, They Did Not Care About That. Also They Short You On Miles. They Also Have Closed 2 Terminals In 3 Months, That Should Tell You Something That They Are Going Out. Please Dont Consider Them For Any Employment.

Have to agree with you about Priority Transportation, Farmington, New York. Signed on as an O/O, and, didn't even complete one trip.
Find out, during orientation, that this lovely place has a Safety Rating of 98. They will not tell you if you forgot to add something, pay-wise, and they keep the money. Quick to point out how thier"Point System" works against you. Place does not offer repairs in thier shops for O/Os, don't pay tolls for O/Os, and, all this is pointed out during Orientation.
Went for my first "Pre-Load" and sat there waiting on it for eight and three qt. hours, while other trailers were loaded and sat on the pad, going to the same place I was headed for, and, told they would not give me one of those, I have to "Wait" for the assigned load.
Well, thier marking's and Qualcomm lasted on my tractor for approx. 17 hours. Thier dispatcher system, if you want to call it that, are real decision makers, NOT!
Only positive thing I can say about this place is they "Stuck-it to-me" quicker than most places, so, I was able to get out sooner. That I am thankful for. Priority is now having thier fun with DAC, and, that's OK too.
I have worked as a company driver and O/O for several places over the years, but, none as bad as this.
Didn't do my "Homework" properly. Was too quick on my decision to go here. Take a good look at this place before YOU make the same mistake. Safety Rating of 98 should scare you enough! -
Safestat up too 100!!!!!

yea i used to work for those unorganized yahoos and they got on my nerves pretty quick. used to workout of Chesterton,in on the refer div. BIG MISTAKE
they had on night dispatcher and she would go outside and smoke more than answer the phones or qc. And the saftey director was on of the bigest idiots i think i have ever met in my life. but yea STAY AWAY the will bring you nothing but grief

I looked them up because they are fairly local to me. But changed my mind very quickly. I am looking at a flatbed company in my area now. Not quite as much as I make now, but close. Mostly local with an overnight or two a week.
I figure I will save money over what I am paying for things on the road though, and that will make a differance. -
I live close by where you are. Were you looking at Flatbed express out of Cassadaga by any chance?
