That's a little bit more than just a "scratch"... At first I was going to ask why would you report such a small mishap providing the other driver didnt have an damage, but after seeing the picture I'd say ya you gotta report that.

I don't think you will be out of a job... The first incident wasn't anything but getting stuck in snow and needing a pull, that happens a lot.

If the other truck didn't require a claim to your carriers insurance and it's only your trailer, I think your ok...

Tons of accidents happen in truck stop parking lots, gotta keep them eyes peeled at all times.

    Driver66 Thanks this.

Thats a big "scratch" . That oversize load must have been really tall, curious to know what he was hauling ? Looks like i see some yellow and blue in that scratch.

Not sure what it was, looked like some steel machinery frame of some kind...

I was going to say it's the flatbed drivers problem. But if they were already coming in from the street it isn't practical for them to stop, it might have been clear when they started to come in. hard to say without being there.

Whatever happened, now you have more experience, some costs more than others. :)

I highly doubt insurance will find out about this. Your boss may have this trailer go to a trailer repair shop and have the damaged panels replaced,or buy some patch tape to cover the snag versus filing an insurance claim and raising his premiums.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to be the kind of damage a company would report to insurance. The only thing you may have to worry about, they might report it to DAC as an incident. not much to worry about unless you change jobs within a year or so

Thanks! I got some hope now... should hear next week what's going to be. This is a good company with good runs, if I can stay I won't be changing it.
