I would think if he was in the left lane a mile or less from the exit that he would be fine. How long was he in the left lane before the exit?
-
465 to 865 is a left lane exit as previously mentioned And depending on traffic I will get in it 2 miles early if necessary. Indy is hard on trucks in the left lane
-
And 465 to 65 nb is also left. I get out there usually when the sign is. I spent 3 years doing 4 round trips from Chicago weekly, and never got a ticket for it

I get a kick out of this type of attitude, Indy isn't all that bad, compared to NYC or Chicago or LA, all of them are not as bad as many make it out as.
I did a year hauling in a triangle between Chicago, atown below indy and Van Wert. So the traffic there isn't bad. -
I think one of the biggest laughs I ever had was one day in Atlanta. I was on I-285 on the west side going north on the inner loop to I 20 west when a girl driving a Honda was so determined to get in front of me that she failed to see that state trooper in front of me. Yes she got the blue light special.
Lonesome Thanks this. -
I got pulled over on the 465/865 ramp a few years ago. Officer told me I could only merge left 400 yards from the exit. Try that during rush hour. It was a Carmel cop talking out of his butt, not a statie. Fortunately cooler heads threw the ticket out after looking at my dash cam footage and told him to limit himself to speeders.TheDude1969 Thanks this.

Im wondering if they rolling I70 west with the split that takes I65 south on the south side of downtown. There you could get nailed for left lane since theres two lanes. Also the first split from I70 where I65 makes the right hand exit if you were running west/south in the left lane there you would get nailed also sine theres 3 or 4 lanes there.
