I have driven most of the worst passes in an auto now in bad weather. It's how you handle the truck if you take those roads slow and easy you'll be fine. Vail Pass is 35 mph Donners is slow too. You have to know how to brake. The stab braking method will smoke your brakes on those hills. Auto or stick. Montana has some passes that are 35-40 mph. It's a marathon not a sprint. Remember that.

In Blue Earth, MN. I like that name. Will be right next to my delivery tomorrow. Unfortunately it doesn't deliver til Tuesday. Wife was going to come meet me but our vehicle might need either a new transmission or to be rebuilt. It's like life wants to suck my bank account dry. LOL

I'm taking I-80 to I-29 to I-90. If you can see those areas please. Thank HTQ.

Just to let you guys know if you ever carry 42,000 lbs of onions your trailer will stink. Blue Beacon is no good for that. It is advised you call the washout place to make sure they can descent your trailer. I guess that's my learning experience for today.

I don't see anything too bad across there this week....windy midweek, a little rain, light snow possible Wednesday and Thursday night. That being said, there is plenty of moisture in this system for the cold front to work with so the potential is there especially during night time hours.....just keep an eye on it the further west that you get. All in all, not a bad forecast for this time of year.

If you don't require a washout, a 2 lb of coffee, spread throughout the trailer, works wonders for odors. Have had to do that twice now, after a load of frozen salmon, and no washout close by.
