I am a full-time accountant trying my hardest to turn this dying trucking operation into an profitable one while living in Ontario, Canada

I don't have trucking license but have decent amount of knowledge about trucks and business with a strong drive to make this happen. I have been reading a lot and there are so many obstacles in the way to reaching my goal.

My father has been ill for a very long time and I dont think he will be behind the wheel for a long time. Therefore, I want to take the responsibility of managing. If you have read my old posts/thread, you will know that we have 5 trucks with carriers, 3 of them were parked but I managed to put drivers on 2. Now there is only one parked that needs a driver and I want to run that under my own authority. The truck is paid off.
Running with carriers creates more stress then return.

CVOR has been applied for, waiting for the next step. Have drivers with less then 3 years of experience who are willing to run for me (who are currently running my truck with carriers). I will start off by operating in Ontario and Quebec only and by using loadboards.

Called in few insurance brokers and they will not insur eanyone that has less than 3 years of experience. FML. Finding driver with more than 3 years of experience and who have confident in me is tough as well.

Whats holding me now is not getting the insurance. Maybe if I make a proper attractive advertisement, I may get some good drivers but how can I make the offer attractive?

I will not be quitting. This will turn around one day.

    Any help, any advice?

I had insurance in Ontario with my own authority. I went through Bryson Insurance brokerage. They are located in Ajax On? I can't remember the guys name but I will have a look through my old paper work for it.
They are honest and we're the best of all the insurance company's I had insurance with.

Running the general freight in Dry van or Reefer.

Did you have less then 3 year of experience when you got insured through Bryson?
Yes, they are in Ajax, very close to where I live

As a new company you can get insurance for a driver with less than 3 years but it is going to cost you dearly. Your first year will be expensive even with a 3 year driver any way you cut it.

What do you think the rates are for Toronto to Montreal and then Montreal back to Toronto? Any idea?
