He doesn't work for Heartland any longer does he? I haven't heard from him on here in a long time. I think CHROME DOME took a local job somewhere in FL. They used to post his TTR stuff in the drivers lounge at the Atlanta Terminal. Why? Was he Brown Nosing or was it a veiled threat from Heartless Management that they where watching what was being said about them by their drivers? If Heartland is such a great company why doesn't anyone that drives for them now post something positive about Heartland on here? Maybe nobody from Heartland reads TTR? Maybe they don't have anyrhing good to say about driving for Heartland? I stand by everything I ever posted about Heartless. It's been over 2 years since I quit, but they still have the same Owner and Management so I doubt they have changed any.

i here crete is not too bad. i have been with transport america 1yr and they r ok. problem like you have keepin miles up where i like. decent truck. just make sure if you jump ship. drive safe n good luck

 

If you wanted longer hauls then why did you go to work for a short haul carrier? I'm not saying Heartland is a good or bad company, but they are a short haul company. That's why they pay a premium on their cents per mile.

 

.... and doesn't short mean more idle time at the dock? Or loosing half a day getting the next short haul
.... If you can't get more than 60 cpm on this kind of stuff you're wasting your time

 

You need paid for every pick, drop and d&h or you'll never make any money. There's jobs out there that pay you just have to look.

 

Almost went to work for them last year. Luckily, I dodged that bullet again. Many drivers I talk to are unhappy there!

 

Offered me a $975 salary,plus 42c for anything over 2300 miles.
Where is the catch?
