Owner operator with DOD

    I was an Owner Operator with NCI and then with DART. I own the truck and trailer out right. I am now working with DOD/US Army in CO bad now transferred to US Navy in VA.
    I want to transfer my truck and trailer to VA. What do I Need to do to Move to VA with the truck and trailer? I am not for hire and NON COMMERCIAL. What do I need to do to get the truck and trailer moved?

    How are you non commercial? Are you done moving loads for good? Retired? I don'tquite understand how you work for the Navy, but your truck is not a cmv?

    Do you work for free? No money at all?

    He was leased on but now he's working for DOD. As in not driving the truck.

    You'll need non-commercial plates and insurance. Other than that like the old man said, get in and drive.

    Another option to look into is hiring a drive away service. You pay a driver to drive it for you and it will be covered under thier tags and insurance.
