Learning about a company using the forum means browsing through many threads, and when those threads have hundreds of posts it's even harder to find the relevant reviews. Multiply this by every company you want to research and the process takes hours or days. You could argue that this is a small price to pay when making an important career decision, but the fact is that the process is daunting and few people know where to start.

As I explained earlier in the thread, I don't expect a database to improve the quality of reviews. The primary benefit is organizing the reviews and making them easy to see all in one place.

The daily volume of reviews being added is growing steadily. I'll launch it to the public next month, but it will be at least a year before there are enough reviews accumulated for it to rival the forum as a research tool.

I found your review and filed it under CRST Expedited, thanks!

Currently we're just displaying stars, the content of the reviews are stored in the database. When the project is launched to the public next month we'll display the full reviews.

Why not link the reviews and the forum user names and log ins? You could do that but make it anonymous, yes? Like when we log in here we get a review/rate tab and make it so we can't review a company until a certain number of posts much like the limit before being able to send a message in an attempt to cut down the rage quitters giving poor scores and being bitter.

At some point, yes, we'd like to give members the option of connecting their reviews to their forum account. From a technical standpoint it's not as easy as it sounds.

True,my brother is an IT director and he does say people think of things then expect it to magically happen because "you're good with computers" lol. A lot of coding goes in to a website and small changes in the wrong place can mess it all up

I just tried to add my past employment to the database. Wouldn't let me click next. I'm running Firefox on Windows 10, if that helps.

Thanks for the bug report, I'll look into it. This was after you had already added one review and were trying to add another? Or you had filled out a review and it wouldn't let you add it? Any particular error message you received?

I like the idea of an increased number of posts being required. Keeping the reviews to the more active members. Not wanting to limit it completely but, as mentioned, keep out the ragers.

I was simply trying to add information. I logged in, selected the proper radio stars and typed a short narrative, then the next button wouldn't work.

Love this concept and agree it won't completely address the outliers (both overly positive recruiters or raging reviews from angry drivers but it does help to "get a feel" for the company and then you can dig into them a bit more by finding company related threads and talking to actual current drivers.

Thanks for considering adding this option.
