There is no low oil sensor but there is a oil presure sensor. Ddec4 or ddec5 ??
-
I'd put money it's your oil pressure sensor, do you have any codes coming up and does your pressure gauge fluctuate?
Oil pressure sensor is located on drivers side, above the starter- it will have 3 wires going to it and has an 1 1/4" housing to put a wrench or socket on.
The oil temperature sensor is located just under the pressure sensorMudguppy and taxihacker66 Thank this. -
Ddec ii 2004 motor my oil pressure light stays on and my yellow check engine light stays on running 40 pounds oil pressure at 1k rpm 20 pounds at idle
-
Oil pressure steady as normal oil has no fuel or water thanks for the drawing
Mudguppy Thanks this. -
My DDECIII block has a low oil pressure sensor sensor passenger side rear of engine bout halfway up. Little sensor with a push on plug.
-
Ok yea yesterday my main exhaust pipe broke and I went about 30 miles nursing it to get parked got it fixed just wondering if the heat might of melted the wiring plus the fact it is orginal sensor
-
Just wondering if I can run it and deal with the darn buzzer until I can find a shop with the sensor
-
Sensor on mine is generic, I replaced it once a year for a few years then put a plug in couple years back...
You may well have heated those wires up n shorted them-id look there first.
Are you finding what I described? If not I'll take a trip over to the truck n text you a video...
