We have a lot of drivers around here, who pull camping trailers, with 1 ton dually's. You hook up a 5th wheel, or a long trailer to one of those, it pushes the front of the truck up a few inches. And probably 90% of those drivers always have their driving lights,, and headlights, on. Just enough to be annoying to oncoming traffic.

My old Mazda and my old Ramcharger I converted to the Hella H4 Euro housings with the bulbs, that light pattern was great, with sharp cutoffs.

My girlfriend?
???
Are you suggesting that a girlfriend should be passed around and shared?
My, my.
That is a lot of MY's, I must say.
MY high beams get turned off when I am meeting or overtaking, but not the fog lights.Toomanybikes Thanks this. -
The light pattern I like the most is the one that is perfectly parallel to the ground, with the right half being just a little higher than the left, and then angles up for the road signs.
With two long range spots when there is no one in front of me.

I love how these guys try to justify using fog lights. "They're driving lights" "I need them to see" "I need them to be safe" If you need fog lights to see at night you need to get your head lights fixed or you need to get your eyes checked. If you cant get your company to adjust your headlights for you, run, because they most likely are neglecting other safety equipment on your truck. Trucks have been around long before foglights were a factory installed option. Those guys did just fine without them. Be like them. Be "oldschool", its the popular thing. Rookies and Swift drivers are synonymous with fog lights, dont be a rookie or Swift driver. Turn off one of the 4 giant GPS screens staring you in the face maybe you could see better.
This is a losing battle though. The new Cascadia headlights are ridiculous without foglights and I'm sure the other manufacturers will follow suit.smf, 03machwon, rbrtwbstr and 1 other person Thank this. -
That's a European beam pattern like Striker was describing. Technically they aren't legal on US roads but the high irony is that they are far surperior to USDOT compliant headlamps. I put a pair of Hella H4 "e-codes" on my old Toyota MR2 and the beam pattern was almost as good as a high end xenon HID projector.Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Yes same with those idiots that have the "leveling kit" or the lift kit on the truck and now the beams are aimed right in every one else's windshield.

Yea great idea, vandalize a truck and risk causing an accident. You like to call the cops on people who brake the law, yet you are a wreckless, criminal yourself. Hypocrisy
-
You mean "break" the law, right?
