Well, the reason I logged the 2 on duty in the morning is because this was a bulk load that I have to unload. I have to unload it so anytime i have b bulk load (plastic pellets in this case) I have to show 2 hours for unloading.

The consignee in this case made it hard on me. The load was due at 9 A.m and i got in at 11:30P.M. the previous day. I could have pulled off 30 minutes somewhere to make it right (sainthood indeed). But the guy came beating on the door at 7:30 A.M. saying he needed me to unload "Right then" I tried to talk him out of it but he insisted. So after I unloaded i asked if I could sleep for another 2 hours but no, he wouldn't allow that. he said we could sleep there overnight, but not during working hours. So that meant that I HAD to leave the place.

I am still trying to wrap my head around this stuff.

Since I drove 11 hours before the 8 in the sleeper I was out of DRIVING hours but not out of TOTAL HOURS?

If you are going to split it you have to think of it more as a two day deal than one?

Sorry if I seem a little slow on getting this. Please keep in mind that I have now been driving a whole 4 months.

    Thanks,

    Dave

You was out of your 11 hours of driving therefore you met one of the regulations first. Whichever comes first the 11 or 14 you must stop driving. You can split break if you have a minimum of an 8 hour break & a 2 hour break (you didn't have this).

Do you have e-mail that I can send you a couple pictures of log grids and explination of split breaking and you and I can talk it through to help you out. I don't mind really:-D

No you don't have to think of it as 2 days, but for a driver to learn it, it takes a good 2 day pattern @ least to show them! Then it takes another 10 scraps of logs for you to actually get it sometimes (depends on the person) I can say what you do is read, study, read, study and draw some fake graphs out and then you will get it eventually and you will be so happy you forced yourself to learn it!
So yeah pm me your e-mail address and we can do this!:smt033 Get your popcorn and pop (water if you are a healthy person)

OMG 4 months you should know everything by now!!!!!!!!! :smt023
