My new, final resting place

34-hour reset again at one of the 'rest areas' on I80 in Ohio. This week has been such a bust that my recap for next week would be horrid; I need this one.

 

Rules won't make anything change. The whole detention/layover pay issue is between the trucking companies and the shippers/receivers. And, I guess, the consumer since we refuse to pay more for our goods even though we, the drivers, deliver this junk.

 

Well, that post didn't work out so well, did it? It should have been:

"...Our freight was slow company-wide. Hopefully, things will improve as the weather improves..."

 

It's Spring, a time of transition. Soon enough, we'll all be complaining about the heat and humidity.

I want those days!

 

And an all-night, 520 mile run to my delivery ahead of me. Fun.
