You can have it lol. I've picked up a load of garbage on Staten Island and that wasn't bad. Then one time I was going to Connecticut and took the wrong freeway and ended up going over the gwb to i95. Was a cool drive but I didn't wish to get off the freeway.

Funny to me that The Island was the part you didn't like-
I don't take long runs, and under no circumstances will I haul garbage. Or anything that stinks at all. My stuff is too nice to stink.

Also being that baled trash of the island pays $1.00 a mile on a good day doesn't help.

I'm payed cpm so it doesn't matter to me what it pays. I guess it's just fear of the unknown. With so many companies advertising no NYC I guess I'm jumping on the band wagon. I did tell my dispatcher if it was a cool load I'd take it though.

I was parked at the T/A in Jersey off i80 not far from PA line,.. pretty country setting. I woke up to this putrid smell,.. I remember a Western flat bed parked next to me,.. I Was like naaa,.. cant be him. It was nice out,.. I didnt want to roll my windows up,. but that stench was unbearable.

In the morning,.. yes,.. it was the flatbed,.. he had baled waste on his deck.

True.. But lets make it CLEAR that its "long Island" NOT" long Island City" HUGE difference in so many aspects...

lol, Poor guy gets confused he's told "Your going to "Long Island city" he thinks its out on the island, Accepts Load..Next thing you know, He's shaking uncontrollably on Thompson and Jackson st. Wondering which way to go next

I don't want him to jump in without any knowledge or experience. Should he take class for flat bed? What kind of load he need to start with? What equipment we need to start with flat bed? Thx
