I drive for hogan with a 3rd party agency. My work has dried up !! My impression is hogan is hiring 3-6month grads just to be cheap. As usual. Nothing new
-
If a trucking company is contracting out to a 3rd party agency, that's usually not a good sign(a.k.a. cheap labor).
bigmotor1212 Thanks this. -
I'm new to Hogan and will be running a DG account out of Iowa. Can I do this in under 70 hours a week? And how many trailers a week can someone reasonably expect to unload? If the only issue is the amount of manual labor I will gladly do it to get my first year CDL driving under my belt.
Thx in advance -

Well yes cheap labor on their end....3-6 months experience .29-.31 cpm
I make hourly wage plus per diem and OT after 8 hrs so I could care less and in fact- I welcome the high turnover mill because it's more work for me but I have to keep my mouth SHUT because the work ethic of these rookies is problematic and they don't do their fricking pretrips -
Dollar General is a VERY tough account at any company
-
I can't remember the last time I read about someone lasting a full year on any Dollar store accounts.
Canned Spam Thanks this. -
My trainer with Werner has been on DG about 2 years now. I couldn't do it. Way too much work for that little money man.
-
It's good for trainers. They have free labor.
-
The contact at my company says my trainer has lasted on this account 3 years. Hopefully I heard her correctly.
