Sounds like someone shut off a valve on the cross over line or you have a tank vent plugged up and not letting it cross over . A simple fix either way

Not sure what you mean with bad record, if you have no accidents or moving violations you have it made. All the headaches with the equipment is nothing to worry about, if your company puts that on your DAC you can call Hire Rite and tell your side and it will go on record and all future employers will see it.

Dang, and I thought I was having a bad week. That's why I only worked for electronic log companies, that way I know I can't be overworked.
Flatbedder 1966 Thanks this. -
I am not sure who i work for since there has been some name changes, but the name I think it is would be RVS trucking out of Sacramento.
I am currently driving a 2007 Freightliner cascadia evolution(?). These last 2 trucks are older than the old beater truck my school used that never left the yard, except when it needed fuel and only then an instructor took it 3 blocks bobtail... it spent no other time on the road and certainly no time at DMV.. it was used to practice skills only.
I just got off the phone with the fmcsa people to amend my complaint and it made me so angry, I was in tears and that never happens!
I spoke with my school and they may be able to find a placement for me before much longer... i can't be fired because they are not paying unemployment, and I can't quit without a job in hand because I would be seen as voluntary quit and disqualified. However, if i am terminated, i would imagine i have a solid case for a wrongful termination suit.d o g Thanks this. -
What i think is happening is there is an overflow system putting fuel into that other tank and it is overflowing from the cap. I crawled under the tank and found no holes, the only evidence of a leak is from the cap. I did find dents to the tank, but nothing significant.
I also think that some repairs were made by gum, duct tape, and super glue, i am afraid to have the engine washed... then they are surprised when they have to go back in and repair the same problems 65 times...Lonesome Thanks this. -
Does anyone know a good link to "whistleblower" protections for drivers out of California?
-
I believe OHSA handles that under the STAA. I would Call or Google them.
-
I found the fine for an HOS violation at up to $11000, but what about knowingly driving a vehicle that has mechanical issues making it unsafe?
-
@Commuter69, who's name is on your paycheck?

What's the USDOT number on the side of your truck?
