Hello haulers, its the new guy again!

So in the great debate of winches we've decided to go with the big WARN hydraulic winch for pulling in our inops.

My question is what size cable is better to go with: 3/8" or 1/2"?

First thought is to go with the bigger diameter to withstand the tension a little better, however, when we think about the flexibility factor it would make sense to go with the 3/8". On top of this what size does better in the snow of MA or ME?

Any help from the vast experience on these forums is greatly appreciated!

If anyone is wondering, we are wanting to get the Warn series 12 hydraulic winch

Personally I'd go with a longer 3/8 and pick up a snatch block (big pully with a hook on the end) when used properly it'll increase your pulling force while decreasing your line strain... One thing to remember when using a block is to make sure your anchor point is SOLID! Other wise your set up will fail
